RECLAIMING THE RED ZONE:
A Toolkit for Post-Secondary Students, Student Unions, Clubs and Organizations
SFCC is Reclaiming the Red Zone with our new toolkit!
The contents of this toolkit are broad and encourage opportunities for deeper learning and reflecting on various topics related to sexualized and gender-based violence in a post-secondary context. The toolkit covers preliminary understandings of the Red Zone, drug-facilitated sexual assault, and a basic overview of trauma and triggers.
This toolkit is intended for use in institutions that have a responsibility to create safer spaces for their students and to hold perpetrators of violence accountable for their actions and impact. It is also useful to student leaders and unions who also have a responsibility and commitment to their student body/population to support collegiate wellbeing and education, which can only be done through the formation of safer spaces, intersectional and anti-oppressive frameworks, and trauma-informed practices.
